Since I’ve completely neglected to post all week, why not a random Friday afternoon post??
There’s a new podcast in town called What’s Up Next? that aims to take the FI conversation to new places. I was lucky enough to be asked by the hosts—DocG and Paul Thompson—to be one of the guests on an episode answering the question “do you have to have a high income to reach financial independence?” (Spoiler alert: no! But having one helps speed up the process immensely. Obviously.)

I had an absolute blast recording this one (and I was less nervous this time going in, both because I’ve already recorded for a podcast so I’m obviously a pro now, and because being in a roundtable discussion means there’s less of a focus on me to not say stupid things), and many thanks to my fellow panel members and to DocG and Paul for making things so enjoyable.
And for asking such fantastic questions. Even weeks after, I’ve still been thinking about some of the things that came up during recording, so look out for further posts on the subject in the future.
In the meantime, you can listen to the episode here: What’s Up Next Podcast Episode 2.
So bummed I missed this conversation! Alas, cannot always make podcasting times work between my busy life + kiddo. Would have been so fun to be on a round table together.
It would’ve been! And I bet I know what your answer to that question would’ve been 😉
Even if I was in a roundtable I’d still say stupid things.
Podcast editors who take out the stupid things you say are awesome!
Great job Erin!
Thanks, Dave!
I’m so happy that I got to chat with you. I honestly think I could use that one convo and have enough content for my blog for the rest of the year.
If I had a content calendar or any real common sense 😉
I love your voice in this community, Erin!
Hahaha same here! I love your voice in the community too, and I’m so glad we’ve had two chances to chat recently!
I loved the episode and you sounded great!
Thanks, Deanna!
Looking forward to listening to this!
